Hosted by Shelina Begum, North West Editor of the Business Desk, our Tax Partner and Head of Tax, John McCaffery Discussed a wide range of tax issues pertinent to family businesses (and indeed other owner managed businesses).

Joining John and Shelina was Fiona Wood, Partner at McAlister Family Law and Jim Truscott, Partner at Beyond Corporate, both specialists in the legal aspects of family business related matters.

Topics included structuring and restructuring in a tax efficient manner, planning for the future of family businesses and managing succession and the mitigation of inheritance tax for family businesses.

Other family business advice discussed included the impact of increased inflation and trusts and wills.
