Chart-topping dance duo Sigma are ensuring they receive sound advice on their finances after appointing Manchester accountancy firm Alexander & Co to act for them.
Partners Gary Kramrisch and John McCaffery are advising the drum and bass duo on all aspects of their financial activities.
Sigma, formed by Cam Edwards and Joe Lenzie while they were studying at Leeds University, have sold more than two million singles with four hits and two platinum awards.
Their hits include Nobody to Love and Changing, which featured Paloma Faith. Both singles reached number one in the UK charts.
Last year, Sigma played at the BAFTAs and opened the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards ceremony in Belfast by performing their hit Glitterball with Ella Henderson.
Sigma are among a growing client base in the entertainment sector for Alexander & Co, which has offices in St Ann’s Square in Manchester city centre and at MediaCityUK in Salford.
The list includes TV, film and theatre stars based all over the UK.
Gary said: “We were introduced through a professional contact and were initially appointed to ensure the band’s affairs were organised in the most tax-efficient way possible.
“Since then, we have been involved in all aspects of their financial activities, including tax and VAT advice, financial planning, bookkeeping and accounting.
“We build our professional relationships by being in regular contact with our clients, which ensures we are in a position to offer the best advice.
“Sigma are a pleasure to deal with and we wish them continued success.”
Cam Edwards said: “We want to be able to concentrate on what we do best, which is writing and performing, and to feel comfortable leaving our financial matters in safe hands.
“We’ve been impressed with the partners’ ability to communicate complex matters to us, so that we are fully aware of what is happening behind the scenes.
“That, together with the partners’ willingness to always make themselves available, has led to a strong relationship being forged.”
