Movember fundraising takes centre stage for Team Alexander throughout November
Movember is upon us and Alexander & Co is proud to be raising funds for this important charity, which is close to many of our hearts. The team will be fundraising through a variety of events, including the moustache challenge, park runs and a moustache themed bake-off.
Moustaches for Movember
Our first team event will be the infamous moustache challenge in true Movember style – we will also have a prize for our best moustache. If any of our team come to meet you with elaborate facial hair, or you spot them at a networking event, please don’t worry, it’s all in the name of charity.
Movember park runs
Our regular Team Alexander running club will be participating. They participate in the Manchester 10k run every year, and we recently had a team member run the London Marathon for the first time, with an excellent result. For every weekend in November, their regular Saturday morning park runs will be in novelty moustaches to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
Movember Bake-Off
Staff and partners participate in an annual bake-off competition each year. This year we will also be holding a charity moustache themed week at the end of the competition for the charity. The best Movember themed cake will win the coverted wooden moustache and we hope to have some interesting cakes to show off on social media too.
The charity
Since 2003, the charity has funded over 1,250 health projects for men around the world, which has included challenging the status quo, taking a different approach to research and helping motivate men to take action to help their health.
The charity Movember is a registered charity raising funds for mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Movember Europe is a registered charity in Clerkenwell, London RCN: 1137948
